Lakeside Impressions was a series of presentations, workshops, and gallery shows featuring the work of Inverness County artisans and craftspeople. These events were sponsored by the Scotsville School of Crafts and the Lake Ainslie Weavers and Craft Guild as an enhancement to the 2006 Celtic Colours festival.

Since 1997, thousands of people have come to Cape Breton to enjoy the music of the Celtic Colours festival. Many of them have indicated a desire to explore the rest of Cape Breton and its culture between the concerts. Lakeside Impressions was designed to complement the Celtic Colours programming, and invited visitors to participate in numerous activities and experience more of our culture.
